Anti-Graffiti: Protect Your Investments For Years To Come
Graffiti remains a serious issue for municipalities as well as private business owners today. There are many different ways to eliminate the damaging effects of graffiti of varying effectiveness and expense. Synergy Surfaces is proud to present a number of different solutions to the problem of graffiti removal. Few other products or methods are as eco-friendly and effective as ours. To date, we have two different products that we are recommending for graffiti protection.
NANO1000
NANO1000 is a permeating, 0 VOC treatment that can be applied to nearly any substrate and acts as a sacrificial anti-graffiti sealer. It is ideal for historical buildings because it will in no way alter the appearance; it will not add sheen or a “wet look”. When a building is treated with NANO1000, graffiti removal is easy; the graffiti that does not get washed away with a power washer can be removed easily with a product like Elephant Snot.
This product is 100% biodegradable, so it will never adversely affect storm drain systems or delicate ecosystems. NANO1000 is easily applied with a sprayer or roller and has an effective life of 5 to 10 years. Additionally, a building, sidewalk or wall treated with NANO1000 will self clean, meaning that most dirt, grime, algae and mold will wash off with precipitation, leaving the building looking cleaner and newer. NANO1000 is a sacrificial graffiti coating, and re-application is simple, involving no stripping or removal of previous coats. When you need to add more NANO1000, you simply spray it on again, and you’re good to go. Due to the fact that this product bonds covalently with the substrate beneath the surface, it is guaranteed to never chip, flake or peel.
Atomic Top Coat
The Atomic Top Coat acts as a topical, extremely low VOC sealer that provides an impenetrable barrier to graffiti and other foreign invaders. This is not a sacrificial coating, and will stand up to unlimited cleanings, lasting for years. The Atomic Top Coat is a non-breathable coating, making the self-cleaning element very effective, and adding some shine to the substrate. Due to its non-breathable characteristics, most, if not all, of the graffiti will come off with power washing.
The Atomic Top Coat is also biodegradable, and environmentally safe. To apply this product, use an acetone-resistant sprayer after cleaning the substrate to which you are applying it. When dull spots begin to appear (5 to 10 years after application) re-application is easy with the Atomic Top Coat. Simply spray to product on in the same fashion that the first coat was applied. Like the NANO1000, the Atomic Top Coat bonds covalently with the substrate, so it will never chip, peel or flake.
