The Synergy Concrete System is a nanotechnology-based, concrete coloring and coating system that has many tremendous advantages over older concrete protection technologies. Due to the nano-engineering of this system, the molecules of the Synergy Concrete System are much smaller, creating a tighter and more effective bond. The result is a hard, impenetrable coating that is impervious to almost any harsh chemical or automotive fluid, and will not flake or peel.
The Synergy Concrete System is made up of two components: the Synergy Base Coat and the ConcreteLoc. There are brief descriptions of the components below.
Synergy Base Coat
Synergy Base Coat is a permeating sealer (more specifically a treatment) that bonds covalently with the concrete on a molecular level, becoming part of the concrete itself, and allowing the concrete to repel oil and water. Synergy Base Coat comes clear or with a white pigment added, and is sprayed on the floor as a base coat and the subsequent color coats. To add color to the floor, simply add an acetone-soluble dye to the Synergy Base Coat and style it as desired. Synergy Base Coat is a breathable treatment that protects concrete from oil, water damage and stains.
ConcreteLoc
The ConcreteLoc is sprayed on when the desired styling and color has been reached. When it is applied, the ConcreteLoc will reactivate the preceding coats once more (blending everything together for the final time) and enhance the color slightly. The ConcreteLoc is resistant to acids, automotive fluids, solvents, stains, water, oil and nearly every other abrasive chemical. After the ConcreteLoc cures, the system will no longer be reactivated by solvents. The ConcreteLoc will add some shine to the concrete, and provide scratch resistance. The ConcreteLoc can also be used as protection against graffiti on buildings, bridge abutments and retaining walls.
Application
The Synergy Concrete System is solvent carried, allowing for extremely fast application, and enabling a crew with a sprayer to color and seal from 1,000 to 10,000 square feet of concrete in a day. One advantage to applicators is that while the application of the Synergy Concrete System requires skill and vision, the only equipment required to get the job done is an acetone-resistant pump sprayer with the correct ceramic tip. The Synergy Base Coat coats will dry and are safe to walk on within 2 minutes of being sprayed. The ConcreteLoc will take 1 hour to harden enough for sock foot traffic, and is ready for regular foot traffic in 4; in 12 hours, it is ready for vehicular traffic; in 24 hours it is ready for heavy equipment traffic, and in 7 days, it will reach its full cure and be resistant to harsh chemicals and solvents.
A Friendly Product
The Synergy Concrete System is safe to use and is environmentally friendly, containing less than 100 grams VOCs per liter. This system was engineered responsibly, and with the goal of avoiding harmful chemicals. It is safe to apply, though we always recommend that the applicator use the proper safety equipment.
